Looking back at the view...

Once upon a time, Heather and I journeyed to a far off land in search of the worlds highest point. After days of trekking, experiencing a new level of cold and at an altitude where some of us couldn't think straight let alone breath, we discovered more than we ever could have imagined....

The view of sunrise as we ascended Kala Pattar, up to 5580 meters, was breathtaking in more ways than one. As the sun back lit both Nuptse (in the foreground) and Mount Everest (to the back left) we were both left speechless.. This is what I thought we had visited Nepal for, besides our visit to Base Camp the day before, but it was here that I truly learnt that photography has a power unlike anything else...

While Heather perched herself at the summit of Kala Pattar, gasping for any oxygen that was hanging in the thin air, I set up her camera and told her that she had to take a photo, as much as she couldn't even fathom lifting her arms. It was there and then that I realised that the only person who will be able to take the photo that I can envision, is myself. This kick started my drive to become completely immersed in photography and be able to capture life the way that I see it....

So here we are 5 and a half year later, both photographing everything around us, striving to summit all the mountains that our lives encounter, doing our very best to reach the top hand in hand, to be able to look back at the views that we have created for ourselves...

With that, a huge Thank-You goes to everybody who has trusted us both along this path, we always look forward to capturing and creating new memories with as many amazing people and in as many wonderous places as possible...
